Biography
Maddy McKenzie is an up and coming artist in the Canadian Country music scene. Over the past years, McKenzie has been working tirelessly to tell compelling and relatable stories through infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics. McKenzie has released 7 singles “Dreamer”, “Do It Sober”, “Marry Her”, “Villain”, "Calmer Weather", "Just Go" and most recently "The Hunter. In the summer of 2023, McKenzie’s song “Villain” went viral on TikTok amassing over 4 million views on the app. Maddy McKenzie had the honor of performing at Boots and Hearts in August 2024, further solidifying her presence in the Canadian Country music scene. In 2025, McKenzie notably has performed at the Woodstock Truck Show, Niagara Grape and Wine Fest, headlined "The MOst Irrelevant Release Party Ever!" and has been direct support for Nate Haller. McKenzie has also been the opening performer twice for Canadian rock legend Colin James. She also had the pleasure of opening the 2022 CMAOntario Awards in 2022 as well as an acoustic set at the 2022 CCMAs. McKenzie has a natural and innate ability to capture an audience through her performances. McKenzie pulls influence from artists such as Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Megan Moroney.
